Promapp Solutions, an Auckland-based provider of cloud-based process management software for creating and managing business processes online, has been awarded a contract by JE Dunn Construction Company - the tenth largest domestic general building contractor in the US.
Empowered by leadership to improve process management at JE Dunn, knowledge managers Matt Spears and Matt Wendel, sought the proper tool to help with this effort. Promapp will enable JE Dunn to document and manage processes and provide their staff with easy and consistent access to a centralised set of processes and knowledge. Promapp will simplify process documentation, management, and optimisation.
“Leadership at JE Dunn recognised the need for reducing the burden placed on our front-line operators due to non-standard and outdated processes,” says Wendel.
JE Dunn deals regularly with a wide range of policy, processes, and reference documents. In the past, these vital resources were maintained in hard-copy binders and inconsistently stored in the company’s intranet. This made it nearly impossible to ensure timely and accurate updates. Additionally, this format did not support JE Dunn’s objective to fully engage their employees in the continuous improvement process.
"Moving forward, we will be able to leverage the extensive knowledge held by our operators and continuously improve our processes," explains Spears.
Promapp will be deployed progressively throughout JE Dunn’s national operations over the next 24 months.
