Carriers under TSA to raise cargo rates to US in May
Calling it a "voluntary guideline contract programme" for 2011-12, the TSA recommended rate increases of US$400 per (NZD$521) 40-foot container (FEU) for cargo moving to the U.S. West Coast and $600 per FEU for all other cargo.

US cracks down on caffeinated alcohol drinks
The agency has warned four companies that the caffeine added to their malt alcoholic drinks is an “unsafe food additive” and threatened product seizures if appropriate action is not taken. The companies concerned are Charge Beverages Corp, New Century Brewing Co., Phusion Projects and United Brands Company.
