A New Zealand Trade Centre contact looking for frozen vegetables for India.
This contact from India has in the past has held CXO positions in one of India's largest industrial companies. Currently a co investor and director in a specialty food manufacturing company with their own brand name consisting of products such as such herbs, seasonings, spices, instant soups and frozen Vegetables.
They are specially interested in large volumes of peas from New Zealand which they include in their brand range and sell as a product of New Zealand. New Zealand apples, kiwi fruit and peaches have become popular in India based on their high quality and they feel that peas are also premium and they can grow the market in India. They are looking at forming a relationship with growing centers and cooperatives for the ongoing purchase of the peas.
They have a retail presence for these products across 25 cities of India and near by countries.
I have not met with this businessman personally; all correspondence so far has been by email with the contact being very prompt with any information I have requested.
