NZ Business Roundtable in China launched

The New Zealand Business Roundtable in China (NZBRiC) was formally launched in Shanghai on September 5th at an event which gathered senior members of the New Zealand business community.

“The NZBRiC is a representational platform led by New Zealand business which will advocate for key interests on behalf of New Zealand business operating in China – covering corporate, SMEs and entrepreneurial endeavours,” says Board Chair Kevin Parish.

“The NZBRiC will also provide a regular forum for New Zealand business to share experience, opportunities and challenges for their continuing China operations, growth strategies and new value creation,” he added.

Zespri, Fonterra, Primary Collaboration New Zealand (PCNZ) and KEA NZ are among the founding Board members of the NZBRiC. Other members include Air New Zealand, Les Mills, China Skinny, Vista Entertainment and representatives from legal and consulting services.

The New Zealand government acts in an advisory role on the Board through ex-officio representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Tourism New Zealand and the Ministry for Primary Industries.

The NZBRiC hosted its first formal event, a Digital Forum, with presenters and key opinion leaders discussing critical factors for online and social media success in China.
