New Zealand's largest privately owned software exporter, Orion Health, has scored two big contracts in China less than a year after entering the market, according to BusinessDay.co.nz.
Its first success in China was an order for 50 licenses of its Rhapsody Integration Engine through local partner, Shanghai Kingstar Winning.
The second order was for an 11-hospital integration project in Shenzhen Guangdong province through its partner, Beijing Sinodata.
Implementation has already begun at the first hospital - the 2,000-bed Hong Kong University Shenzhen Hospital.
Orion Health chief operating officer Kimbal Riley said further orders are likely to follow as the Shanghai project is expands.
The expansion into China's burgeoning e-Health software market follows export success Orion has enjoyed in North America, Europe and Australia. It has also established beach heads for export into Singapore and Japan.
The company plans to establish at least one office in China within the next year.
